Wow.
The human body is fascinating
I keep telling people this shit in real life and they don’t believe me.
I’ve seen it from multiple sources, and this just adds another (albeit usually unreliable) source.
This is legit, guys.
This is how your eyes move when you’re thinking about something.
It’s actually a good way to tell if someone is lying or not, because they’ll look to the right (their left, durr) when they’re constructing false memories, and to the left when they’re actually remembering them.

thank the lord above i needed this so bad
Okay someone asked for kitties so here we go.
Like with the babbies, my kitties are super basic. Here’s my kitty and Jason’s kitty. Everything is super rounded and simple, also take note of how the mouth is stuck right at the halfway point of the face. And the legs at the halfway point of the body.
Doing that keeps everything nice and compact and gives your kitties that squishy look while keeping the anatomy in tact.
Really though, even when drawing kitties as simple as these, the key to posing them is fluidity. Kitties are sneaky and graceful, make sure that their body has a nice curve to it if you want to show some motion.
Er… not quite like that, here’s a better example
Again, I’m using some basic guidelines for the face, just to make sure everything is in line when at an angle. I prefer to keep everything rounded, but the pointy look can still be fluid as well like in this drawing from a while ago.
Just make sure to be consistent and even over-exaggerate when it comes to your kitty’s personality.
Before I forget, might I just say that I have been drawing these kitties like this based on this cute generator. It’s not necessarily my style but you guys seem to love it and they have the same basic structure so whatevs. :>
Not much motion going on here but still showing smooth curves
and like I said, same basic structure so same rules apply!
Notice how I always make the limbs fit together practically like puzzle pieces, this again, helps you stick to the basic shape and keeps the anatomy in proportion. Work it, Kittypool.
(gowho wanted more Deadpool kitty reference but anyway… > w>)
Alrighty now we have Steeb kitty to show slight exaggeration of the body to show the motion with nice smooth curvies.
And that’s really all I can think of! But here’s some older examples!
And lastly, some kitty interaction! Starring Thorkitty, Lokitty, Kittypool, Spideycat, Captain Americat and Iron Mane.
Okay good night! O wO
eglantineazure asked you: Okay, so, coloring question. What colors yould you suggest for a face lit by fire? Say it’s facing the viewer directly and the fire is to the right, what colors would you use for the highlights and the shaded areas? I’ve been screwing around with the picture for a few hours now and I can’t come up with a color scheme I like. Please help, Sam! XP (I can’t stop watching the basketball fail gif now, btw, I’m laughing so hard XD)
heeeeeey im here to help! the thing is—i didnt really read through this and busted out with something that didnt really match how you wanted it (you said you wanted fire coming from the right, and i made it face the person.) still, it should be alright, i hope :x
let’s make our example taranee cook from w.i.t.c.h since she controls fire and she’s a bamf
1) first i doodled a poop sketch and threw on some oranges on there with the “color” layer style setting. alwaaaays determine a light source first so you’re not grabbing and placing random dots of light everywhere. in this instance, there’s gonna be the fire and a green backlight.
2) then i added some actual colors ahahaaaa and i tinted the fire-lit areas with more orangey tones
3) then more details wooooo 20 minute crap stuff aLRIGHT BACKLIGHT
(plus i picked out the colors for you so you could easily see what’s what)
HOPE THAT HELPED <333333333
